The club is located at the Oswestry Show Ground in Shropshire. Road links to the venue are superb: from the north, M6, M56 and A483 all dual carriageway, from the south M6, M54 and A5. The track is easy to find as it is ¼ mile from the A5. Click here for a map (provided by Multimap). Please keep your road vehicle speed to <10mph when within the showground Club meetings are every Thursday. Booking in is from 7pm. We aim to finish by 10pm. Members will have at least three 5 minute* qualifying heats and one 5 minute* final (*6 minutes when racing indoors during the winter) Membership fees are split into three sections (1) BRCA membership - We require all club member to also be members of the British Radio Car Association (BRCA). You can join through the club for £12 per year or do this yourself direct with the BRCA and pay £14 per year. For more details of what BRCA membership gives you please visit the BRCA website by clicking here Note you can race a maximum of THREE times at our club without BRCA membership - but you MUST join after this or we will not allow you to race. (2) Club membership - If you are under 16 then it only costs £5 to join the club (January to December). If you are over 16 then you pay £10. (3) Weekly Race Fees (subs) - If you are a club member then you only pay £4.00 per week (per class) to race at the club. Non members pay £5.00. Family entry is also £5.00 What do the fees pay for? Running the club is an expensive business. Rent of the track site, insurance, purchase of materials for maintenence, purchase of computer and PA equipment etc means that we have to charge the fees shown above. The club comittee has been able to maintain the current fees for the past few years through careful management of the finances. Please support the club by paying your fees on time.
